Salt Lake has put together a solid ownership group who is courting to be the next option in the West when the league expands to 32 teams - the commissioner has said it will be one team in the East and one in the West (Nashville seems to be a shoe-in for the East). It seems to be between us and Portland. Portland is kind of a mess, especially downtown, and Seattle doesn't want a team that close as they see it as part of their fan footprint. We built a new AAA stadium this year south of SLC which is state-of-the art and MLB officials were watching its development closely. In short, I don't think SLC would welcome Nutting.
