Geez! Pham is playing in LF. What a way to reward Gorski for his 1 career game performance. Pham needs to go!
It's impossible to listen to this broadcast right now. Joe Block just won't shut up with all the superlatives, and just announce the game. Kevin Young seems obliged to have to follow him. Now you have Hannah Mears segment that never seems to end.
ON the actual baseball side, sure would be nice if Reynolds would like to help out a little bit today. Should have had the foul pop, but went into the slide 30 feet before he was even near the fence. Both times up with a chance to do some damage, and nothing.
Pirates have the pitch count up super high on Yamamoto, but Dodgers returning the favor against Skenes, who seems to go 3-2 on every batter.
Davis has thrown three or four balls back to the pitcher that he got no where near Skenes, and a new ball had to be put in play.
Cruz with the lead off walk, steals second, and Valdez with a clutch two out single to give the Bucs an early 1-0 lead, the first run Yamamoto has given up in April I think they said.
Pham strikes out with two on and two out in the first, against a laboring pitcher.
Frazier walks his first time up, has the 8 game hitting streak going,.
Skenes strands a leadoff single in the second, with two K's and a groundout. He's at 37 pitches after 2, Yamamoto is sitting at 54, which means we'll probably see a 6 pitch 1-2-3 inning.
Late arriving crowd, doesn't even seem half full yet, but thats Dodger Stadium for you. I love that place. However, I hear the famous Dodger Dog isn't what it used to be, and isn't even Farmer John.
