Petition Objective March 1, 2005:

To Obtain 5,000 or more Signatures among the Pirate Nation

We the undersigned pledge our support to new ownership of the Pittsburgh Pirates with the financial resources to once again make this a: “City of Champions.”

We intend to solicit potential new investors such as Mark Cuban, Joe Hardy, Michael Keaton, as well as both former and current investors who have expressed interest in buying a partnership position in our Pirates.

We respectfully sign this petition as a gesture of our pledge to provide continued financial support.

We the undersigned do not expect miracles. We do expect ownership to field a team which is both financially responsible yet competitive as the Marlins, A’s, Twins and others in MLB have done in the recent past.

We petition potential new investment in the Bucs to consider the new economics of MLB which have made even “small market” clubs financially viable.
