Not sure I would have put Canario and Gorski in the lineup same day, I would have played Pham again, he made 2 catches the other night that saved runs, so he knows that OF. Burrows and Gorski up, Suwinski sent down, Mayza to the 60 day IL, and unfortunately Lawrence to the IL with elbow inflammation. As the bullpen continues to gel (1 hit allowed to the last 34 batters) they keep getting dinged up. Holderman is in a rehab assignment at Indy right now.

Not sure this is fact, but I believe the Players Association has filed a grievance regarding this game being played at night instead of the usual afternoon getaway game, and the Angels having to travel to Minneapolis right after the game.

I think the Pirates have essentially given up on Davis and see him as a back up catcher for Bart.

Quite a few of us have been clamoring for him to be brought
up.

I hope Shelton and Mlodzinski realize that he is a relief pitcher. He has consistently been hammered when he goes the the line up a second time. Bucs 3 run lead is no more.
