Spencer Horwitz
Our new first basemen from the Blue Jays. .265 / 12 HR's / 40 RBI's. Probably gonna have trouble against lefty's.

Re: Spencer Horwitz
Heck when did this wrist injury occur? It did require surgery, but there has been no time frame set for the amount of time he will be out. With surgery I would bet he misses the majority of ST, then he will need rehab at AAA, or Altoona.
Re: Spencer Horwitz
So, is this Davis's chance at first base? Or Cook? Given the trouble players have who miss spring training, I wouldn't hold out much hope for a good season from Horwitz.
Re: Spencer Horwitz
You’re right regarding Davis. He seems to be a lost soul right now, no position to play, nor enough to show regarding his offense. I’m thinking the DH job is his for the taking if he can’t handle RF or 1B. But he better rake during the next six weeks or there won’t be much point in keeping him around any longer.

"...he underwent surgery last week to address chronic symptoms."
Wait! What? The symptoms have been chronic but he waited until last week to have surgery??? Unbelievable.
There's no basement in the Alamo.

Shows us that GMBC is not qualified to be a GM. He should have done due diligence and had Horowitz undergo a pre-trade physical to make sure he was healthy. Does GMBC know what "chronic" means.Bobster wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 1:53 pmfjk090852-7 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 3:25 am Heck when did this wrist injury occur? Re: Spencer Horwitz
It may explain, though, why it only took three players to get him.
