No, the Pirates got Nick Yorke for Priester.
He didn’t hit much in ST, and now it has carried over into April. I was not excited about his signing, and other than a couple timely hits, and a solid throw he has been a bust.
to be honest even if he matched his offensive output from last year he would not be an offensive force. At best he should have been brought in as a 4th outfielder and perhaps only as a non roster player with an invite to spring training. I agree, he should be a reserve at best. But his starting all of these games reveals a bigger problem: there’s no one throughout the system who’s better.
