I have read that a group in Nashville is working with a group to look for land for an eventual MLB Ballpark. I could see our carpetbagger of an Owner selling the Pirates to a Nashville Group whenever the lease expires in 2030 at PNC Park. I hate to say it, but I do not trust that man.
If he can make one more dollar by moving the Pirates, consider the deal done.

I love this quote from Nutting:
"I think that I’ve done everything that I can to provide the tools and resources to the team. There is a point where it becomes execution."
He's throwing everyone under the bus but himself. The problem with firing Cherington and/or Shelton is that he'd have no one else to blame.

This was a real doozy, too: "What I want them to know is that I share that (winning), working every day to put a winner and a championship team out here on this field. We did a lot of that work over the offseason."
He actually said, and apparently no one laughed when he said it, "We did a lot of that work over the offseason."

And there's more: “I think if we’re going to focus on the critical things to build a championship-quality team and bring a championship to Pittsburgh, the only benchmark we can have is we need to win every game we go out to play."
Spoken like a man who has no idea.
How about this word salad: In one sentence he said, "we look at tomorrow's game", followed by, "you can't look at a single game". Not to be outdone, he said, "We don’t look at a seven-game stretch", however, "we look at the next month".
This is the guy who sits atop the organization.

No he is a big idiot who is the worst person in Pittsburgh. I try to be open minded but I can’t stand the man.

I heard a comment over the weekend that Nutting is deliberately holding back team payroll because his intention is to move the team by 2030 to Charlotte NC. This could be a possibility regarding the future of the Pirates.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that he's at least looked into the possibility of moving the team. He doesn't care about the history, or the attachment to the city since 1883. (That's the actual first year of the franchise. It was in 1887 the teamed moved from the American Association to the National League. The team's been in existence since 1883 but, for some reason, the current ownership won't acknowledge that.) If he can make even a little more money he'll be packed up and ready to go at a moment's notice.

If that would happen it would be a very sad day for Pittsburgh, and for Major League Baseball. I can really see him moving the team from Pittsburgh.
