Three ptichers who just had dominating efforts, and you bring in this clown who has done nothing to even deserve a promotion let alone be in the game in this situation.

WTF are you putting him in a high leverage situation first time out?Why not Santana? Why not Bednar? Why not Nicolas?

And Edman doubles to center as Cruz bobbles it, but he's probably in there anyhow.

I hate Shelton, I mean I really, really, really hate that stupid booger smearing idiot
yeah, it makes no sense to throw Holderman in there in this situation. He wasn't lights out at Indy. 2 Games, 1.2 innings, gave up a homer and 2 other hits.

Holderman went 1 2/3 in his rehab outing in Indy, gave up 3 hits including a HR, and that warranted a promotion?

Add Cherington to the list. Him and Shelton have to go. Every time it looks like this team might be getting their shit together, these two get in the way.

Thanks Colin, you brought back that 2024 life sucking loser vibe back

I didn't catch the pregame show, and don't recall it being mentioned during the game. I was shocked when I saw him.

Holderman pulled, Wentz on, damage done. Pirates just gave this game away

Kike Hernandez hits a pinch hit, 3 run HR.

This is how you play, this is how you don't do that "pass the baton " bullshit. You try and be the man. If every guy does that, at some point, this is what you get, not a popcorn fart offense that can only produce a single run with a double, walk, single, stolen base, bases loaded no outs situation.

8-4, we know this one is over.

Wentz walks the next guy. Still nobody out. Pages up, he'll probably hit a five run HR right now

Pages singles, Muncy to third, Pages 6-7 in the series, still nobody out.

Except this guy, time to call it a night.

Dreaming of someone coming up with pictures of Shelton and a blow up goat being ridden by Cherington, and they both get fired

Want to know what the definition of "rallys come here to die" is?

Reynolds-McCutchen-Valdez-Bart our 2-5 hitters went 0-16 with two walks and produced one ground out RBI, but cancel out that RBI and a walk by Bart getting thrown out at home on a play he had no business running on. They had 9 LOB combined.

Reynolds strikes out looking top of the ninth, and walks off complaining about the calls, and he's going to feel like a dope when he sees just how much of the plate the called strikes actually had.

Your leadoff hitter goes 2-4 and adds a walk to the mix. Your 6-9 hitters go 6-14 and a walk, but with all that damage no runs batted in, but they scored 3 of the 4 runs, Cruz scoring the other on a leadoff home run.

Keller with a quality start, though he gave up a run he shouldn't have, the Pirates had a bases loaded, no outs situation and scored only one run, they gave up an unearned run from a pure lazy throw.

But Shelton had to top them all, by bringing in Holderman.

What a freaking shame, first pitch of the game the Pirates have the lead, yet somehow with all the good things that happened with Cruz, the bottom 4 of the lineup, Keller righting the ship, they still somehow managed to get their teeth kicked in.

Bad fielding, terrible situational hitting, poor base running, poor bullpen usage. Tell me if this sounds familiar.

Pirates 1-10 with RISP. 8 hits, 4 walks, but only two hits for extra bases, Cruz solo HR to lead off the game, and Phams double. They struck out 9 times, 4 of them when there were guys on base, not even putting the ball into play.

Of course, we don't know what Sunday will bring. But if you watched the game, didn't it have the feel of, "We're guaranteed a split on the road"?

Shelton "we played well for 8 innings, we didn't play well for one inning" Ummmm, yeah, that would be your fault. He's actually trying to make it sound like Holderman was the only guy available.

I hate this guy, and you can tell by the way he's looking at the reporters asking about why Holderman was in there he was irritated.
