Thanks Surg for the play by play. Like Bobster said, too late for
most of us to watch.
most of us to watch.

I got called off work, so had the pleasure of being able to watch the game. Pretty quick game, ended just after midnight.Wildwoodcoach wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 11:47 am Thanks Surg for the play by play. Like Bobster said, too late for

After three consecutive inning ending double plays, I was wide awake, and having to keep from shouting at the television. Because, you know as well as I do, shouting at the television does work.

BTW, among my mess I can't find your addy once again, please text me once again with it. I have something to send to the Mrs. and you. No waiting in line either.

Got back late after the game last night. Looks like Surg stayed up back in the Burgh and kept everybody up to date.
Great win. Wish the Bucs could have put up a couple more runs to take some tension off the outcome.
I have a few take aways from the Pirate win:
1) Heaney was a machine in total control. I can’t remember a game where the Pirates starter struck out the first 6 batters. He was simply dominant. He did not have high velocity but he was a master of hitting locations. He also would occasionally change his arm angle which probably added to the deception.
2) The Cruz HR. What can I say except everyone dropped their jaw and stared in disbelief. He cleared the high shrubbery on CF and the ball landed half way up the artificial turf hill behind the shrubs. If you blinked you may have missed it as the exit velocity was 117MPH though someone said it was over 120!
3) The Renegade was back. Bednar looked like his old self last night. Dominated with his curve and fastball. He blew away Mike Trout. Trout did not look good. He struck out 3 times.
Tough matchup tonight. Sneaky good Anderson against a struggling Mlojinski. It would be nice to get a sweep before heading into the Evil Empire of the West.
