Who says these Pirates don't offer any excitement!
Meaningful games all the way into Sept - this is REAL excitement!
Go Bucco's (whatever that may mean in this context)!

Bucs lose 4-3, stuck on 30 wins.
O's with 27 wins, leading 5-0 over Texas in the 7th. If they hold on for their 28th win, Bucs are only TWO games back at the All-Star break.
darn, this is exciting....scoreboard watching in July for a change.
The Anthony Rendon sweepstakes beckons.
Question: What other ML team has a starting OFer hitting under .190?
So at least there's a method to the madness of playing Ryan Church

Since he's sitting out the ASG, can we ask him to come do the same to Ryan Church?

I've been watching the Orioles over the last few days and they actually look decent. I see these guys winning quite a few more games than the Pirates over the second half of the season. Rendon is pretty much ours, I think.

Don't forget about the Astros, post-Oswalt and Berkman (and anyone else they trade off) --- that assumes they don't go on one of their second half runs!

Question: What other ML team has a starting OFer hitting under .190?
Braves McLouth .176 Dodgers Anderson .180 Nationals Harris .180 Willie Harris is not a starter for the Nationals. His is a role player. He plays LF and RF, when Bernadina or Willingham need a rest. He's played a little CF and third. He is by no means, a starting player for the Nationals. For most of the season, the Nationals OF is Willingham, Morgan and Bernadina.

Try going by AB's,thats what I did by finding anyone close to Church who has only 156 AB's in 87 games so I wouldnt call him a regular either just because hes started games recently, hes 116th in AB's for outfielders,Harris in 126th

He isn't a starter. If you want to say Church isn't one, I won't argue that. But Willie Harris is not a regular position player for the Nationals.

His question was "other" so finding other players with close to the same AB's as the guy he asked about should've been good enough. Church HASNT started 53 games before the all-star break. The only real starter in the group was McLouth who was still starting despite being horrible but Anderson has close to the same amount of PA's as Harris and Church so he fits in the group as well. I didnt know I needed to put AB's as well just so it was easier to see the players are all similar otherwise I would have

I didnt know I needed to put AB's as well just so it was easier to see the players are all similar otherwise I would have His question was "what other ML team has a starting OFer hitting under .190?" Read it again, if you don't believe me. That's why I answered about Harris. I watch the Nationals everyday. I didn't need to look at the ABs to see that Harris isn't a starter. Still I looked, and sure enough, he isn't even in the top 8 in ABs. Harris is the ultimate role player. He's played third, center, left and right this year. Last year, he played all of those positions and second base. He is a role player. His ABs have come from playing all of those positions, not starting in one. He is fourth among Nationals OFers in games started behind Willingham, Morgan, and Bernadina. He has just 3 more starts in RF (there is no doubt that Willingham and Morgan are the regular in left and center) than Mike Morse and 5 more starts in RF than Justin Maxwell. He just isn't a starter. Again, the argument should have been that the Pirates don't have a starting OFer hitting that poorly, no matter how hard JR tries. Its should not have been that Willie Harris is a starting OFer.

If the O's win again today the difference will be one game heading into the All-Star break.
