Can someone please explain the rationale for starting Jaramillo in Class AAA?

Doumit is going to get traded either during the season or after it and they want Jaramillo to get accustomed to being the starter.

Chulk isn't that bad, and apparently Taschner changed his arm angle and it has worked wonders thus far.
I think a 32-year old with a career ERA of 5.00 and WHIP of 1.64 may need a little more than just a change in arm angle to be effective.

Only time will tell.

A new approach can have different results.

I can't get too worked up over the bullpen that starts the season, especially since at least one guy is going to be serving as a placeholder for Hanrahan.

If NH does the Bullpen Lego thing right, he'll run through a bunch of relievers.  You look at the teams that end the year with impressive bullpen numbers, and I'll bet on most of them at least two key relievers didn't start the year with the team.  If Chulk or Taschner has some fluky career year, great, if not, NH should be willing to ditch them quickly.  Hopefully, there's enough depth now that he'll feel able to do that and not cling to them the way he did guys like Bautista and Osoria in the past.
